Critical Revision of Leadership Styles in Management and Company Cases

In this chapter, we expose from a critical point of view the main leadership styles and then three successful international case companies (Inditex, Santander, and Telefónica) that recognized their style and the strategies they developed. These cases will be the start point to discuss what kind of leadership seems to be more suitable for staff development and for a better management of human resources. Our hypothesis is that with these styles of leadership, effectiveness of human resources is enhanced, and productivity of enterprises is assured to remain competitive, adapted, and successful. Also, we assume that there are some cultures in which these styles of leadership are better prepared, as the culture predisposes employees to accept and assimilate them. We are aware that worldwide business culture has a long way to progress toward more evolved leadership styles. This business culture is partly linked, or it is concomitant to the value or condition that is given to citizens in societies

Hermeneutics of Lázaro in the Laberinth by Buero Vallejo

This play contributes to a better understanding of the psychological mechanism of behavior with respect to recurrent auditory hallucinations and the traumatic origin that can cause it, such as experiencing a violent event. This causes an emotional blockage of fear in the actor, due to the defense mechanism of denial, with repercussions on memory and negative feelings of guilt and shame. The author proposes an adequate emotional management for the protagonist, Lázaro. The solution is aimed at making him dare to know the truth and accept it following current clinical psychological praxis, without taking refuge in the protection of others. In this way, he will improve and may even reduce the emotional state and the hallucination. In the analysis of the work, various contents are decoded. First, the planes of reality: the physical world, the fantasy world and the inner world of the characters. Second, the trauma lodged in the subconscious and auditory hallucination. Third, relationship of defense mechanisms, emotional intelligence and memory. Fourth, plot about love relationships. Fifth, the psychological mechanisms in favor of justice and truth. It is proposed how this drama could have contributed to the social imaginary to raise awareness about the emotional management of individuals. The results indicate that this symbolic and complex work of form and content also contributes to solving other human dilemmas such as the limitation to know reality, in addition to the feelings and emotions in the subconscious, as well as to accept them. It is discovered how to cope with an ethical sense of justice in a society in democratic transition, with still open wounds that derive from a war. Also, there is the aspiration to a humane society on the part of the author.Esta obra contribuye a una mejor comprensión del mecanismo psicológico de la conducta con respecto a las alucinaciones auditivas recurrentes y el origen traumático que las puede ocasionar, como por ejemplo vivir un hecho violento. Esto provoca un bloqueo emocional del miedo en el actor, debido al mecanismo de defensa de la negación, con repercusiones en la memoria y sentimientos negativos de culpa y vergüenza. El autor propone una gestión emocional adecuada para el protagonista, Lázaro. La solución está encaminada a que se atreva a conocer la verdad ya aceptarla siguiendo la práctica clínica psicológica actual, sin refugiarse en la protección de los demás. De esta forma, mejorará e incluso podrá reducir el estado emocional y la alucinación. En el análisis de la obra se decodifican diversos contenidos. En primer lugar, los planos de realidad: el mundo físico, el mundo de fantasía y el mundo interior de los personajes. En segundo lugar, el trauma alojado en el subconsciente y la alucinación auditiva. En tercer lugar, relación de los mecanismos de defensa, la inteligencia emocional y la memoria. Cuarto, trama sobre las relaciones amorosas. Quinto, los mecanismos psicológicos a favor de la justicia y la verdad. Se propone cómo este drama pudo haber contribuido al imaginario social para concientizar sobre el manejo emocional de los individuos. Los resultados indican que este trabajo simbólico y complejo de forma y contenido también contribuye a resolver otros dilemas humanos como la limitación para conocer la realidad, además de los sentimientos y emociones en el subconsciente, así como para aceptarlos. Se descubre cómo sobrellevar un sentido ético de la justicia en una sociedad en transición democrática, con heridas aún abiertas derivadas de una guerra. Ця п’єса сприяє кращому розумінню психологічного механізму поведінки в ситуації рекурентних слухових галюцинацій та їхнього травматичного походження, наприклад, переживання сцен насильства. У актора це викликає емоційне блокування страхом через захисний механізм заперечення, що впливає на пам’ять та негативне почуття провини та сорому. Автор пропонує адекватне керування емоціями головного героя Лазаря. Рішення спрямоване на те, щоб змусити його наважитися дізнатися правду і прийняти її, дотримуючись сучасної клінічної психологічної практики, не ховаючись від допомоги з боку інших. Таким чином він покращить і навіть нормалізує свій емоційний стан і зменшить галюцинації. Різні шари змісту одержують інтерпретацію під час аналізу тексту твору. По- перше, це плани реальності: фізичний світ, світ фантазії та внутрішній світ героїв. По-друге, це травма, що засіла в підсвідомості та слухових галюцинаціях. По-третє, це взаємозв’язок захисних механізмів, емоційного інтелекту та пам’яті. По-четверте, це сюжет про любовні стосунки. По-п'яте, це психологічні механізми задля досягнення справедливості та правди. Авторка розмірковує, як ця драма могла б сприяти соціальним уявленням щодо підвищення обізнаності про керування емоціями індивідами. Результати засвідчили, що ця символічна і складна робота форми та змісту також сприяє вирішенню інших людських дилем, таких як обмеження пізнання реальності та прихованих у підсвідомому почуттів та емоцій, а також їхнє прийняття. Розглянуто питання того, як чинити з етичним почуттям справедливості в суспільстві з перехідною демократією, в якому ще не загоїлися рани від війни. Також у автора твору простежено прагнення до гуманного суспільства

Godmothers: narrative portraits from the past of two distinct Camorra women

In recent years, we have seen a significant increase in television series productions featuring female leads, including bloodthirsty women who commit cruel crimes and order massacres. Given that traditional gender expectations see femininity associated to stereotypes such as care and caring for others, with emotion, passivity and vulnerability and, instead, violence and aggression as something intrinsic to the conceptualization of masculinity, the theoretical starting premise is that the narratives that portray violent women commit themselves to a problematic relationship with one of the pillars of male domination, that of violence. The aim of this study is to analyze two real women from the Camorra, Pupetta and Rosetta, represented in two films: The Challenge (La sfida) by Francesco Rosi (1958) and The Professor (Il camorrista) by Giuseppe Tornatore (1986) to investigate the nascent state of this troubled relationship.En los últimos años, hemos visto un aumento significativo en las producciones de series de televisión que proponen protagonistas femeninas y, entre ellas, mujeres sedientas de sangre que cometen crímenes crueles y ordenan masacres. Dado que las expectativas de género tradicionales ven la feminidad asociada a estereotipos con el cuidado y el cuidado de los demás, con la emoción, la pasividad y la vulnerabilidad y, en cambio, la violencia y la agresión como algo intrínseco a la conceptualización de la masculinidad, la premisa teórica de partida es que las narraciones que retratan a las mujeres violentas se comprometen a una relación problemática con uno de los pilares de la dominación masculina, el de la violencia. Gestión de la emoción en la comunicación mediada por ordenador (CMO)

Concordance exists among some researchers who argue that the emotional communication occurs both in the face and in ComputerMediated Communication (CMC), in the same way that they agree that this communication occurs with different characteristics in both situations. Studies examining these differences in the Spanish research environment are few and very recent, but already suggest a series of singularities. In this study, we analyze the expression of emotions in CMC from a survey of digital native university students that produce their naturally emotional communication both in person and through computer.Existe una concordancia entre diversos investigadores en defender que la comunicación emocional se da tanto en la relación presencial como en la Comunicación Mediada por Ordenador (CMO), de la misma manera en que están de acuerdo en afirmar que esta comunicación se produce con características distintas en ambas situaciones. Los estudios que analizan estas diferencias en el entorno investigador español son pocos y muy recientes, pero ya apuntan una serie de singularidades. Léxico de videojuegos incluido en la lengua española: un estudio de caso múltiple

In our current society, the lexical treasure that Spanish has is made up of numerous words that recognize the expressions of a group of speakers. Due to technological development, this reality is present in the Internet space and among consumers of online content, who discover and learn, from this multimodal tool, new terms that ari-se daily, giving rise to new words. For this reason, in this dissertation, we aim to investigate and treat those terms of Spanish and English origin and even neologisms that make up the world of video games, with a viewing of 50 youtubers and an experimentation of 3 successful video games from which it will be obtained, terms which will be later collated to see how they are treated in the different dictionaries. Thirdly, the percentage of these terms will be calculated through the words collected in the Spanish and English reference corpora. It will also be addressed the attention video games receive recently as a didactic multimodal tool for learning vocabulary.En nuestra sociedad actual, el tesoro léxico que posee el castellano se compone de numerosas palabras que reconocen las expresiones de un conjunto de hablantes. Debido al desarrollo tecnológico, esta realidad se encuentra presente en el espacio de internet y entre los consumidores de contenido en línea, los cuales descubren y aprenden, de esta herramienta multimodal, nuevos términos que brotan diariamente, dando cabida a nuevas palabras. Por eso, en la presente disertación, intentamos investigar y trataremos aquellos términos de origen castellano, inglés e incluso neologismos que conforman el mundo de los videojuegos, con un visionado de 50 youtuberos y una experimentación de 3 videojuegos de éxito de los que se obtendrá, términos que serán posteriormente cotejados para ver cómo se tratan los mismos en los diferentes diccionarios. En tercer lugar, se calculará el porcentaje de dichos términos a través de las palabras recogidas en los corpus de referencia del español y del inglés. Se revisará también qué atención reciben los videojuegos recientemente como herramienta multimodal didáctica para el aprendizaje de vocabulario

Trending topics about performance in second language learning

This article recomposes the background of this theme during the decade 2001 to 2011. This study aims to discover ten main current research trends of performance in second language from 2012 to 2022. It will search scientific articles in the Social Science Citation Index (WOS) and in the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) databases and discover which are emergently compared to the previous decade. Finally, the study discusses these topic trends, other alternates and transversal-related issues. It presents a critical vision of the state-of-the-art of the last 20 years, considering reference publications. The method is a documentary review that selects ten scientific articles from the last decade to discover deep trends. This documentary methodology differs from a systematic bibliographic review in that it allows selecting and delving deeper into the qualitative content of the articles. Thanks to the quality system implemented, the articles published in these journals included in this WOS database ensure significant studies that ensure scientific contributions and discoveries in the field.  The main results are ten recurring topic trends with the previous decade on language learning programs, evaluation, teaching strategies, communication and psychological approach, digital devices, teacher action, cognitive approach, speaking performance, motivation and instructional performance language. The major conclusions highlight emerging interdisciplinary approaches to different variables and the adaptive study of emerging technologies, such as AI, without great interest in linguistic or economic policy issues. However, searches on other academic platforms find a broader open debate for two decades with other contextual parameters about economic factors and language policy, such as the literacy of immigrants in L2 as a factor of social and economic interest, the formal programming of a second language in institutions to obtain employment, especially in the professional framework of international mobility. This means that the WOS database collects general trends in this investigated topic. However, it only partially collects the breadth of scientific interest generated as a result of the needs of the socio-economic context. The AR storybook as multimodal teaching resource

Esta herramienta didáctica con tecnología de realidad aumentada ha aparecido recientemente como un nuevo recurso en los últimos años. En esta investigación cualitativa pretendemos conocer qué percepciones obtienen 72 futuros docentes de Educación Infantil una vez que experimentan por sí mismos estos formatos digitales multimodales. Entre las conclusiones, consideran que el cuento de RA es una herramienta multimodal con muchas cualidades, apta para ser introducida a los infantes, jugando un papel motivador para el desarrollo de la lectura. Además, estos cuentos en 3D hacen que los niños aprendan mientras se divierten.Recently, this teaching tool with augmented reality technology has appeared as a new resource in recent years. In this qualitative investigation, we intend to know what perceptions are obtained by 72 future teachers of Early Childhood Education once they experience these multimodal digital formats for themselves. Among the conclusions, they consider that the AR story is a multimodal tool with many qualities, suitable to be introduced to infants, playing a motivating role for the development of reading.
